A well set batsman is a player who has adapted to conditions. This person has spent enough time at the crease to see clearly. They understand the speed of the pitch and the movement of ball. Their timing is precise because they have seen many deliveries already. These players score runs more easily than those who just arrived out. They look comfortable against both fast bowlers and the slower spin bowlers. The team relies on this person to build a very large score. A batsman reaches fifty runs and begins to hit boundaries with ease. Staying hydrated and focused helps a player remain set for long periods. Taking small breaks between overs allows for mental recovery during long innings.
