A blind shot describes a stroke where the batsman loses sight of ball. This happens when the player swings with their head turned away from bowler. It often occurs during high speed deliveries or very aggressive cross bat swings. The batsman hopes to make contact based on the predicted path of ball. This move is extremely risky because the player cannot adjust to movement. It frequently leads to a top edge or the ball hitting the stumps. Professional coaches teach players to keep their eyes on the ball at all times. A batsman shut their eyes while trying to hit a very fast bouncer. Keeping the head still and level helps prevent this dangerous batting mistake. Focus on the point of contact ensures the bat meets the ball squarely.
