In Soft Tennis, a Wide Serve is a tactical serve in which a player directs the ball toward the far sidelines of the service box. This forces the receiver to move horizontally away from the center of the court.

Because Soft Tennis uses a light, flexible rubber ball and a lighter racket, players can generate extreme angles and bounce patterns that make this serve particularly effective.

How the Wide Serve Works

• The Target: The server aims for the “outer corner” of the service box, near the junction of the sideline and the service line.
