Arm Ball Meaning in Cricket

An arm ball is a delivery from a spin bowler that does not spin sideways after hitting the ground. Instead, the ball follows a straight path toward the batter at a slightly faster speed than usual.

Example: The batter expected the ball to turn, but the arm ball trapped them in front of the stumps. Pro-Tip: Spinners use this delivery to deceive batters who anticipate a sharp break in the ball’s trajectory.
