Footwork refers to the way a batter moves their feet to get into the best position to hit the ball. Good movement helps the player reach the pitch of the ball or creates enough space to swing the bat with full power.
Example: The batter used quick footwork to dance down the pitch and hit the spin bowler over his head for six.
Pro-Tip: Moving your front foot toward the line of the ball is the best way to maintain balance during a drive.
