Glance Meaning in Cricket

A glance is a delicate batting shot where the player uses the ball’s own speed to deflect it toward the fine leg area. Instead of hitting the ball hard, the batter simply turns the face of the bat at the last moment to guide it. Example: The elegant player scored easy runs by using a flick of the wrists to play a late glance toward the boundary.

Pro-Tip: This shot is highly effective against very fast bowlers because it requires minimal effort to score a lot of runs.
