A maiden over is a set of six consecutive deliveries where the bowler concedes zero runs to the batting team. It is a sign of great control and pressure, as it prevents the opponent from advancing their score for an entire over.
Example: The crowd applauded as the bowler finished a rare maiden over against the league’s most aggressive and dangerous batter.
Pro-Tip: If a bowler takes a wicket during a maiden over, it is still recorded as a maiden in the official scorebook.
