A wicket maiden is an over in which the bowler takes at least one wicket and concedes zero runs from the six deliveries. This is the ultimate achievement for a bowler in a single over because it provides both a dismissal for the team and maximum pressure on the scoreboard.
Example: The crowd gave a standing ovation after the bowler completed a triple-wicket maiden in the middle of the game.
