Head position refers to the batter’s ability to keep their eyes level and their head still while the ball is being delivered. Since the head is the heaviest part of the body, its position determines the batter’s balance and their ability to judge the line and length of the ball.
Example: The coach told the player that his poor head position was the reason he kept falling over toward the off side. Pro-Tip: A ‘still head’ is the secret to great batting. If your head is leaning too far to one side, your weight will follow, making it impossible to move your feet correctly and leaving you vulnerable to being bowled or trapped LBW.
