Out of bounds happens when wrestlers move outside the marked area. The referee stops the action immediately. No scoring continues beyond the boundary. Wrestlers return to the center to restart. Control must be established inside the circle to count. Awareness of position is very important. Skilled wrestlers avoid stepping out under pressure. Pushing an opponent out does not score in most styles. For example, two wrestlers scramble near the edge. Both step outside, and the referee stops the match. They reset in the center. Staying in bounds keeps scoring chances alive.
