Arm Drag Meaning in Wrestling

An arm drag is a move that pulls the opponent past you. You grab their arm and step to the side. Then you pull their arm across your body. This shifts their balance forward. At the same time, you move behind them.

Speed and footwork make this move sharp. It works well from a standing position. Minimal strength is needed with proper timing. For example, a wrestler uses an arm drag and slips behind. The referee signals a takedown once control is gained. Arm drags create angles instead of force. Smart wrestlers use them to surprise opponents.
