A whizzer is a defensive move against a leg attack. You wrap your arm over your opponent’s arm. Then you press your weight down and inward. This creates strong shoulder pressure. The pressure weakens their grip on your leg. Balance shifts back in your favor. You often use it during a single leg attempt. Good hip position makes it stronger. The goal is to stop the takedown. For example, a wrestler shoots for a leg. The defender applies a whizzer and stays upright. The attack slows and control is avoided. A strong whizzer turns defense into control. Timing makes it effective.
