Break point happens when the receiver is one point away from winning the server’s game. The serving player usually has the advantage in tennis. So this moment creates pressure on the server. If the receiver wins that point, they break the serve. Breaking serve means winning a game while the opponent serves. For example, the score is 30-40 during a service game. The receiver now has a break point. If the server misses the next shot, the receiver wins the game. Break points often change the direction of a match. Strong players raise their focus during these key moments.
