Set point happens when a player needs one more point to win the set. A set is won by reaching at least six games with a two game lead. This moment can happen during a normal game or a tiebreak. The pressure increases because the set can end instantly. Players often choose safer shots to avoid mistakes. For example, the score is 5-4 in games and 40-30 in points. The leading player now has set point. If they win the next rally, they win the set. Set points often shift momentum in a match.
