A net post is one of the two vertical supports holding the net. Each post stands at the side of the court. The net stretches tightly between them. Net posts keep the net at proper height. They ensure the center stays slightly lower. Players rarely interact directly with the posts. However shots can hit them during play. If the ball strikes the post and lands in, it counts. For example a sharp angle shot may clip the post. The ball then falls inside the line for a winner. Net posts quietly support every match. Their position shapes the court’s structure.
