The aiming point is the specific spot on the object ball where you want the cue ball to make contact. To find it, you must look at the target pocket and find the exact opposite side of the ball. This is the ‘bullseye’ for your shot that determines where the ball will roll. Most players use a mental image of a ghost ball to help pinpoint this location accurately. For example, a player identifies an aiming point on the right side of the red ball to send it into the left corner.
