Corner-to-corner describes a long-distance shot where the ball travels from one corner of the table to the opposite one. These are some of the longest and most difficult shots in pocket billiards. They require perfect aim and a very straight stroke because any error is magnified over the long distance. Players often use corner-to-corner shots to show off their accuracy or out of necessity when the table is open. For example, a player sinks a red ball from the head corner into the foot corner pocket across the full diagonal. This impressive shot requires the player to keep their head down and follow through perfectly. It is a high-skill maneuver that can change the momentum of a game. Mastering these long shots builds great confidence in your stroke.
