The goal attack is an offensive position responsible for moving the ball and scoring goals. This player roams within the center third and the attacking goal third of the court. They act as a link between the midcourt players and the main goal shooter. This role requires great stamina because the player covers a large area of the court. A goal attack shoots from the edge of the circle to score a point. They must also possess high accuracy for both long-range shooting and passing. Strong footwork helps them lose their defender to find an open space for a pass. One real-world example shows the goal attack passing the ball to the goal shooter.
