Split Circle Meaning in Netball

A split circle is a tactical setup where the two shooters stand on opposite sides of the ring. This positioning forces the defenders to separate and prevents them from double-teaming a single attacking player. By creating a wide gap, the shooters open up a clear passing lane through the middle. This strategy is very effective for creating one-on-one scoring opportunities near the goal post.
