Manager Meaning in Baseball

Definition: The manager is the person in charge of the team’s strategy and on-field decisions. They decide the starting lineup, choose when to switch pitchers, and are usually the ones who come onto the field to discuss rules or argue a call with the umpires.

Example: The manager walked out to the mound to tell the pitcher that his day was over and a relief pitcher was coming in.
