Full Court Press Meaning in Dodgeball

A full court press describes an aggressive strategy where a team moves to the midline. This tactic puts maximum pressure on the opponents by reducing the space between the teams. All six players stand at the center line and throw their balls simultaneously at once. This overwhelming force makes it nearly impossible for the defenders to dodge or catch everything. Teams use this method to finish a game quickly when they have a numbers advantage. Taking the center ground limits the flight time of the balls and increases throw speed. Players must be careful because this forward position makes them very easy targets for counters. Quick retreats are necessary after the team throws all of their available balls forward.
