Positioning Meaning in Dodgeball

Positioning refers to where a player stands on the court relative to the ball. This involves maintaining a specific distance from the center line and the side boundaries. A player takes a wide stance to cover the flank while teammates hold center. Good positioning ensures that every part of the court is defended by a player. It also places throwers in the best possible spots to hit their intended targets. Athletes must constantly adjust their location as players are eliminated or as balls move. Proper positioning reduces the gaps that the opposing team can use for gap targeting attacks. This fundamental skill is the core of a disciplined and successful dodgeball team.
