Power Throw Meaning in Dodgeball

A power throw is a high-velocity launch intended to overwhelm a defender with speed. This technique uses the full strength of the legs, core, and throwing arm together. A player steps into the throw and hurls the ball with maximum force forward. The goal is to make the ball travel so fast that dodging becomes impossible. Power throws are often used to target the chest or feet of an opponent. This move can be exhausting if used repeatedly without any rest between the throws. Success depends on maintaining accuracy while releasing the ball at such a high speed. It is a primary weapon for offensive specialists who want to dominate the court.
