Definition: A pull hitter is a batter who consistently hits the ball to the same side of the field as their batting stance. For a right-handed hitter, this means hitting the ball toward the left side of the field; for a left-handed hitter, it means hitting toward the right side.
Example: The defense shifted all their players to the right side of the field because they knew the left-handed batter was a heavy pull hitter.
