Showdown Meaning in Dodgeball

A showdown is a formal duel between the final players on each team. This happens when the match reaches a stalemate or a specific time limit. Two opponents move to a restricted area to face each other with balls. All other rules remain the same but the space for dodging is reduced. The first person to hit the other or catch a ball wins immediately. Showdowns are designed to end a round that has lasted too long in play. The tension is incredibly high as both teams watch their last representatives compete. Speed and accuracy are the most important factors for success during a showdown.
