The center back is the player who directs the team’s offense from the middle. This position acts as the primary playmaker and organizes the strategy for every attack. The center back sits at the top of the offensive formation near the center. They must possess excellent passing skills and a deep understanding of the game’s rules. This player decides when to pass, when to shoot, and when to drive. A center back signals a specific play and passes the ball to the left. This role requires the player to communicate constantly with teammates on the handball court. Most offensive plays start with the center back receiving the ball from the defense. They must remain calm under pressure while looking for gaps in the opposing line. Effective center backs balance their own scoring threats with the needs of their teammates.
