A spin shot is a technical scoring attempt where the ball rotates heavily. The player snaps their wrist during the release to give the ball spin. This causes the ball to change direction after hitting the court floor surface. It is the most common way for wing players to score from. The spin allows the ball to curve around the goalkeeper into the net. A wing player uses a spin shot to score from a zero. This technique makes the path of the ball very difficult to predict accurately. Players must have incredible touch and control to master the various spin types. Training involves thousands of repetitions to get the ball to bounce just right. A successful spin shot often leaves the goalkeeper standing still and totally confused.
