Senpai Meaning in Karate

Senpai is the title for a senior student in a karate school. This person has more experience and a higher rank than the beginner. The senior student acts as a mentor and helps the newer members. They lead by example during the difficult drills in the training hall. A senior student helps a newcomer tie their belt before the class.
