The aiming line is the invisible path from the cue ball to the target. It is the straight track you want the object ball to follow into the pocket. To find it, you must visualize a line connecting the center of the ball. This is the first thing a player looks at when they approach the billiards table. Every shot begins with identifying this line and aligning your body to follow it. A straight stroke is required to keep the cue ball moving along this intended path.
