The center mark is a small line at the middle of each baseline. It divides the baseline into two serving sides. The server must stand to the correct side of this mark. This depends on the current score. It helps guide proper serving position. The center mark does not extend across the court. It is only a short line. For example, at 30-15, the server stands left of the center mark. They serve diagonally into the correct box. The center mark keeps serving organized.
