A challenge card allows a coach to request a formal review of a lift. Official referees use video replays to check if a lifter followed all technical rules. Each team usually receives only one card to use during the entire sports event. If the challenge is successful, the team keeps the card for a later use. A failed challenge means the team loses the card for the rest of the day. This system ensures that the final results of the competition remain fair and accurate. A coach throws the card onto the platform if they disagree with a red light. Reviewing the footage helps officials see small errors that occur during very fast movements.
