Changeover Meaning in Tennis

A changeover is a short break when players switch sides of the court. This usually happens after every odd numbered game. Players sit briefly and prepare for the next games. The break allows rest and strategy adjustment. Switching sides keeps conditions fair. Wind or sun may affect one side differently. For example, after the first game ends, players walk to opposite benches. They towel off and sip water. Then play resumes. Changeovers maintain balance and recovery time.
