A dipper is a delivery that curves downward sharply in the air as it approaches the batter. Unlike a regular ball that follows a steady arc, the dipper drops unexpectedly toward the batter’s toes, often catching them off guard and resulting in an LBW dismissal.
Example: The bowler’s fast toe-crushing dipper swung in late and hit the batter’s foot before he could move his bat.
