Front Wing Meaning in Formula 1

The front wing sits at the very front of the car. It shapes how air flows around the vehicle. Its main job is to create downforce. More downforce increases grip in corners. Engineers adjust its angle to change balance. For example if the car understeers, they may add front wing angle. That adjustment gives the front tires more grip. However too much angle increases drag on straights. The front wing also directs air toward other parts. Small changes can affect the entire car. Precision design makes a major difference in performance.
