Give-and-Go Meaning in Handball

A give and go is a quick passing play between two offensive players. One player passes the ball and immediately sprints toward the goal for return. The teammate catches the ball and passes it back to the moving player. This simple move uses speed and timing to bypass a stationary defensive line. It is one of the most effective ways to create a breakthrough. An attacker passes to the pivot and cuts behind the defender to score. This rapid exchange leaves the defense unable to react to the moving player. Success depends on the accuracy of both passes and the speed of the cut. Teams practice this play to build chemistry and trust between the court players. The give and go remains a fundamental element of every successful handball offense.
