A goal line throw in occurs when the ball goes out of bounds over the baseline. The umpire awards the ball to the team that did not touch it last. The player must stand with their feet behind the line to restart the play. They have three seconds to pass the ball to a teammate on the court. A wing attack takes a goal line throw in to find a shooter. This restart offers a great chance to set up a planned scoring play. Teammates use screens and quick leads to get open for the incoming pass. One real-world example features a player passing from the baseline to a teammate in the circle.
