Injury Time Meaning in Wrestling

Injury time allows a wrestler to recover from a minor injury. The clock stops during this period. Only limited time is allowed for recovery. Medical staff may check the athlete quickly. If the wrestler cannot continue, the match may end. Injury time protects athlete safety. It also ensures fair competition. Wrestlers cannot use it to rest unfairly. For example, a wrestler twists an ankle during a scramble. The referee stops the match for injury time. After a short break, the wrestler continues. Safety always comes first in competition.
