Isolation Meaning in Dodgeball

Isolation is a tactic used to corner a single opponent away from their teammates. This strategy works best when one team has a significant player count advantage. Four players spread out to trap one defender in the far back corner. This movement limits the escape routes for the person who is being targeted. The team then throws multiple balls at once to ensure a successful hit. Isolation forces the defender to focus on too many different directions at once. It is a highly effective way to finish a round with a win. Teamwork is essential to move in unison and close the available gaps.
