A lateral drop is a powerful throw where you lock around your opponent’s upper body and arch sideways to bring them over. You use a strong grip and hip drive to lift and rotate them. It can score big points if their back is exposed. Timing and body position are critical. Example: A wrestler locks up tightly and drops to the side, throwing his opponent onto his back. The referee signals high-point scoring.
