A leg ride is a control method from the top. You hook one or both legs around your opponent’s legs. This limits their hip movement. Restricted hips make escapes harder. You often stretch them flat on the mat. Pressure stays heavy from above. Balance is very important during this ride. Too much space allows a reversal. For example, a wrestler hooks both legs in. The bottom wrestler struggles to build a base. The referee allows action to continue. Leg rides create strong control. Skilled riders use steady pressure.
