A near-side cradle is when you lock your opponent’s head and the leg closest to you together. You pull the head and knee toward each other. This folds their body and limits movement. It is usually done from the top position. Once locked, you try to turn them to their back. Control and balance are very important. For example, a wrestler grabs the near leg and head quickly. He locks his hands and rolls the opponent over. The referee counts back points. A tight lock keeps the hold secure.
