Offset Meaning in Cycling

Offset is the distance between the center of the seatpost and the center of the saddle’s mounting rails. It determines how far forward or backward you sit, which helps align your knees and hips correctly over the pedals.

Example: If a rider feels too cramped, they might switch to a seatpost with more offset to move their saddle back and give their legs more room.
