An outer court is one of the smaller playing areas at a tournament. These courts are located away from the massive main stadiums. They have very limited seating or just a few rows of benches. Fans can often stand right next to the fence to watch. This is where most of the early-round matches take place. It is the best place to see professional players up close for free. For example, a fan walks past the main stadium to find a match on court twelve. They stand against the green fence and watch a pro hit serves from five feet away. The environment is much quieter and more relaxed than the big arenas. You can hear the coaches talking to their players during the breaks.
