Oversteer happens when the rear of the car loses grip first. The back slides outward during a corner. The driver must quickly correct with steering input. Too much correction can cause a spin. Oversteer often occurs with high throttle use. For example, accelerating too hard out of a turn can trigger it. The car rotates more than expected.
