Quick Release Meaning in Dodgeball

A quick release is a throw made with very little preparation or wind-up time. This technique prioritizes speed of action over the maximum power of the ball flight. A player catches a ball and immediately flicks it toward a nearby opponent. This sudden attack catches the defense before they can react or find cover. It is especially useful during the chaotic moments following a catch or a block. Mastering the quick release requires strong wrist snap and very fast hand-eye coordination. This skill allows a player to capitalize on small windows of opportunity in play. It keeps the tempo of the game high and the opponents under pressure.
