Right Back Meaning in Handball

The right back is a key offensive player positioned on the right. This role usually requires a left-handed player to provide better shooting angles. The right back operates between the right wing and the center back playmaker. They are responsible for taking powerful long range shots from the backcourt area. Defensively this player guards the opponent’s left-side attackers with strength and speed. A right back jumps to score a goal from nine meters out.
