Rotation Management Meaning in Netball

Rotation management is the process of coordinating player movements to create space in the goal circle. This involves the goal attack and goal shooter moving in synchronized patterns to confuse defenders. By switching positions, they force the defense to communicate and hand over marking duties. If the defenders fail to adjust, one attacker will likely end up completely unmarked. A coach focuses on rotation management to break down a very strong defensive double team. This tactical skill requires high levels of chemistry and understanding between the two scoring players. Effective rotation keeps the offensive play dynamic and creates multiple options for the feeding players. One real-world example shows two shooters crossing paths to find an open spot under the post.
