Sankaku-Turnover is a method used to flip a kneeling or prone opponent. The attacker uses a triangle leg configuration to grab the defender. By rolling sideways, the player forces the opponent onto the back surface. This transition moves the fight from a defensive state to a pin. One game example involves a player turning a defender to start a hold. This technique requires the attacker to be very active with the legs. Proper execution depends on the timing of the roll and the grip. The defender cannot resist the leverage of the legs during the turn. Success leads directly into a pinning position to score points in matches. Strategy involves waiting for the opponent to tuck the head or arms. This move is a vital tool for overcoming a defensive player.
