A touch shot is a delicate stroke that relies on finesse rather than power to win a point. These shots are usually soft and placed perfectly in a spot where the opponent cannot reach them. Common examples include drop shots, lobs, and short-angled volleys.
The goal is to use the opponent’s expectations of power against them by hitting a soft, unexpected ball.
